Trigger Happy - The story of Luciano Arruga

Luciano Arruga was asked by the police to rob for them, but he refused. His refusal had tragic consequences, as he was harassed by the police, detained and tortured, and later disappeared on January 31st, 2009. His body appeared buried in an unmarked grave 5 years later, in October 2014. He was 16 years old when he disappeared.

Pablo de Bella (1970), is an illustrator and comic artist who studied with the renowned Argentine comic artist Alberto Breccia. He has participated in several exhibitions, and illustrated numerous books for publishers in Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and the United States. He previously collaborated with the project ‘Historietas por la Identidad’ of the Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo.

This blog informs about two comic projects: Historietas por la Identidad and Trigger Happy. The first project was an initiative of the Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo, with the support of over 40 comic artists and writers. The second one was developed by Daniela Drucaroff, together with several of the comic artists and writers who also contributed previously to Historietas por la Identidad.
