Comics for Identity - The Story of Mariana and Gabriel Corvalán Delgado



Mónica Delgado and Eduardo Corvalán were abducted on July 22nd, 1976. Mónica was three months pregnant of their third child. Their first two children, Gabriel and Mariana are still looking for their disappeared brother or sister. The only thing they know is that he or she should have been born in January 1977. 




Marcelo Andrés Riva (1980) is an illustrator, muralist and painter. He made the animations for several movies including the internationally acclaimed Argentine film Infancia Clandestina, situated during the last military dictatorship in Argentina. He also made several other artistic contributions about the period of the military dictatorship, including a number of murals commemorating the disappeared.

Trigger Happy - The Story of Darían Barzabal

Darían Barzabal was 17 years old when he was executed by a police officer from the province of Buenos Aires. He was found beaten, handcuffed and defenceless in a police car. The police tried to justify his death by falsfying testimonies and assembling a criminal scene by planting an arm at his feet.

Paula Petrín (1970) is a visual artist and professor of sculpture and engraving. She has exposed her work in various well-known museums and cultural centers in Argentina and participated in many interdisciplinary projects, including the series ‘Historietas por la Identidad.’ Her work is characterized by a conceptual approach and a strong commitment to social issues, particularly women’s rights.
