Trigger Happy - The Story of Mariano Witis and Dario Riquelme

Mariano stopped to chat with a friend when Dario took him as a hostage. They left in the car, but were chased by the police. They were shot in the back by a police officer. Although the officer was convicted and after several appeals given a sentence of 15 years, he only served 4 years and 9 months. He received a conditional early release. He was given house arrest and the authorization to work for a private security company.

Pablo Lizalde (Art) & Daniela Drucaroff (Script)

Pablo Lizalde (1983) is a comic artist, freelance colorist, and a teacher. He organizes workshops on drawing and comics for children, and teaches illustration at the High School of Visual Arts Martín Malharro. He is a member of the group Changos, a collective of comic artists for children which publishes comics and organizes talks and presentations. He has also designed videogames for Iphone such as Finger Olympic, which has over 7 million users.

Daniela Drucaroff (1974) has worked with the Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo  as a staff member of the Archivo Biográfico Familiar (Biographic Family Archive) for more than 10 years.  As a member of the Archivo, Daniela was part of the team that coordinated the production of the series ‘Historietas por la Identidad.’ She is currently working on the production of the series on police violence that is partially exhibited here.
