Exhibition now at CEDLA in Amsterdam!

We are very happy to announce that the exhibition can now be visited at the CEDLA (Center for Latin American Research and Documentation) in Amsterdam, Roeterstraat 33. The institute is open to visitors from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. The comics will be exposed at the institute during the whole month of September. On Monday 5 September the exhibition will be officially opened in the presence of the alumni of the CEDLA. For more information see: http://www.cedla.nl/

Drawing on Violence - comics from Argentina

In Argentina comics are increasingly being used in human rights campaigns. Throughout 2016, with the support of the UVA and the CEDLA, we have translated some of these comics into English and will be exposing them on different locations. This blog provides information on the content of the exhibition, on where and when it can be seen, and additional facts and links that might be relevant for anyone interested in knowing more about these comics.

Credits

This blog informs about two comic projects: Historietas por la Identidad and Trigger Happy. The first project was an initiative of the Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo, with the support of over 40 comic artists and writers. The second one was developed by Daniela Drucaroff, together with several of the comic artists and writers who also contributed previously to Historietas por la Identidad.
